Someday maybe I can dig up my old VHS of when sting actually hosted SNL. He actually performed 3 songs that night and Vinnie was on drums. All This Time, Mad About You and Purple Haze was what they played if I remember correctly. That was pretty back in the day.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">That was my first exposure to Vinnie, not long after I started playing the drums. I was totally knocked out by his playing on both of those tunes. The energy on Purple Haze changed the way I saw drumming.

I am in Seattle and the tape is on Boston with my folks. It has been watched hundreds of times over the years and I know the quality has suffered greatly. Let me see if I can work something out though.
